The surrounding passage speaks about receiving the Word, controlling our speech, and caring for people in need. The response becomes visible in ordinary behaviour.
Perhaps today’s obedience involves listening without interrupting, speaking truthfully about a product, keeping a promise, or helping someone whose need you have noticed.
Choose an action that grows from the passage you are reading. Small acts of obedience matter because they bring our everyday conduct under the teaching we say we believe.
