Scripture — Psalm 119:105 (KJV): “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Read Psalm 119:105–112 — King James Version
Reflection
We often want the whole route explained before taking a step. We want certainty about work, family, money, and the future.
The psalmist describes God’s Word as a lamp for walking. In the surrounding verses, commitment to God continues alongside difficulty. Direction and hardship can exist in the same journey.
Scripture teaches us about God’s character and gives moral direction. It trains us in honesty, love, wisdom, and faithfulness. Those truths matter when a particular decision has no verse naming its exact details.
Read carefully, consider the passage in context, and seek wise counsel. Then ask what faithfulness looks like in the next choice before you. A lamp becomes useful as we walk by its light.
Consider
Which decision before you needs the light of a biblical principle?
A step for today
Write down one current decision. Identify a relevant passage, read its context, and name one faithful next step.
Prayer
Father, help me understand Your Word and walk in its light. Give me humility to learn and courage to obey what You make clear. Amen.
